Who We Are

Welcome to the Johnstown Historical Society

We’re dedicated to preserving the past not as a record, but as a resource. From the Revolution’s early footsteps to Elizabeth Cady Stanton’s bold vision of equality, our community played a pivotal role in shaping American ideals.

Through our exhibits, programs, and public outreach, we ensure that these stories continue to educate, inspire, and unite.

What We Do:

  • Maintain three historic sites central to Johnstown’s story

  • Offer engaging events and school programs grounded in local history

  • Support research and archival access for historians and the public

  • Advocate for historic preservation and civic engagement
