JOHNSTOWN HISTORICAL SOCIETY MUSEUM

The Johnstown Historical Society Museum is a Victorian home with no true historical significance to speak of — however it houses almost 300 years of Johnstown’s history.

On permanent exhibit is the Cady Room which is dedicated to the family and early life of famed suffragist Elizabeth Cady Stanton as well as a room dedicated to military service of Johnstown. Explore rotating displays that cover everything from theatre and entertainment to police and fire service and even an old set of elephant bones.

We have an impressive research library with hundreds of books, catalogs, records, and other information on Johnstown’s history and the people who lived and died here.
